Kate Young began her
fashion career at Vogue Magazine. After several years at
Vogue, first assisting Anna Wintour and later as market
editor, Young was named contributing editor at Teen Vogue.
Since embarking on a freelance career in 2003, Young has contributed
to publications ranging from i-D, Interview and
Flair to numerous international editions of Vogue,
Harper’s Bazaar and Vanity Fair. Kate is
currently Fashion Editor at Large at Interview Magazine.
Young has collaborated with many of the
industry's top photographers, including Ellen von Unwerth, Terry
Richardson, Karl Lagerfeld, Matt Jones, Tesh, Max Vadukal, Pamela
Hanson, Raymond Meier, Arthur Elgort, Herb Ritts, Solve Sundsbo
and Tom Munro.
Young has styled ad campaigns for Carolina
Herrera, Esprit, Armani Exchange, Theory Luxe, Neiman Marcus, Guerlain,
L’Oreal, Cover Girl, Target and Anne Klein as well as shows
for designers ranging from Derek Lam to Nini Ricci. Her roster of
celebrity clients includes Natalie Portman, Rachel Weisz, Michelle
Williams, Hilary Swank and Selma Blair.
