Native of France, Sebastien Richard started working in the fashion industry in Paris at the age of 20. His intuition for trends and his sense of image allowed him to collaborate with top photographers such as Helmut Newton, Juergen Teller, Michael Thompson, Steven Klein, Paolo Roversi, Sarah Moon, Ellen von Unwerth, Nick Night, Patrick Demarchelier, Peter Lindbergh and Annie Lebovitz. His editorial work has been seen in Vogue (American, French, Italian, L'Uomo, German and Japan editions), W, Glamour, Numero, Allure, Harper’s Bazaar, I-D, Elle and Vanity Fair.

Sebastien has contributed to the ad campaigns of Hermes, Tiffany, Victoria Secret, GAP, Louis Vuitton, Anna Sui, Cole Haan, Elizabeth Arden, Chanel, Calvin Klein, Lanvin, Marc Jacobs, Revlon, Dunhill, Shiseido, L’Oreal, Ungaro and APC.  In addition, Sebastien also collaborated with contemporary conceptual artist Vanessa Beecroft for the performance she gave at the Guggenheim Museum in New York.

Sebastien's celebrity clients have included Eva Green, Ashley Judd, Cameron Diaz, Patricia Arquette, Chloe Sevigny, Naomi Watts, Mandy Moore, Zihi Zhang, Catherine Denevue, Jessica Biel, Pamela Andersen, Vanessa Paradis and Kate Beckinsale.
