A native of Mexico, Paco
Blancas was nurtured from an early age to appreciate the beauty
that surrounded his exotic birthplace. His love affair with the
power of make-up began while studying architecture. It was during
this time that a brief stint as an extra for television commercials
resulted in his noticing with amazement the transformation models
underwent at the hands of the studio make-up artist. Blancas decided
to abandon his studies in architecture and instead apply his keen
eye to the structure of the human face.
Since that time, Blancas has lived and worked in numerous countries
maintaining New York City as his home for over ten years. His talent
lies in the ability to recognize the depth of possibility in a model,
cultivating their potential to the fullest. Blancas has worked with
famed photographers Enrique Badulescu, Patric Shaw, Diego Uchitel,
Paolo Roversi and Joshua Jordan. His work regularly appears in the
pages of Surface and myriad international editions of Vogue,
Harper’s Bazaar and Glamour. Major campaigns
include Emporio Armani, Hermès, Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman
Marcus, Nina Ricci, Cover Girl, H&M, Shiseido and Prescriptives. |
